Trichaptum abietinum is pale on top and dark purple underneath when fresh so this is not that species.
I suspect it is an early development of Heterobasidion annosum judging by the colour and the undulations on the top but I am not certain. The latter can form sheets on dead conifer logs when it grows on the surface rather than projecting from a log end or a dying tree.
