Description:

I found this in my Sheffield back garden in 2008 and then again in 2009. It's so distinctive I'm sure someone will know what it is but it turned into a very nondescript flightless female (I'm assuming)

Most IDs are easiest with a photo of the adult and some idea what the food plant is.
The adults used to be easiest to preserve before digital cameras arrived and it is still the way it is done now.
