I netted this bee as flew over the vegetation in the base of a disused quarry. It is not one I have knowingly seen before. The best guess I can make at its identification is B rupestris the males of which per Edwards and Jenner have faint traces of greenish-yellow bands on the thorax and elongated abdomens but the wings do not seem very dark-tinged. I look forward to my identification being corrected!
