a species in genus Salticus

There are three species in genus Salticus, and my understanding is that they need microscopic examination to be sure of which species is which. Having said that, by far the most likely species to be seen in and around houses is Salticus scenicus, but it's always dangerous to identify things based on probability (if we all did that we'd never know whether habitats or distributions were changing!).
