On a sandy bank - some sort of Grasshopper?
No interactions present.
The county grasshopper recorder, Stuart Ling, has identified it as a male Field Grasshopper (Chorthippus brunneus) a typical species of bare, sunny ground with sparse vegetation. Many thanks for submitting the photo - we are always interested to know about wildlife sightings in Suffolk, and will pass this on to the Sites Manager of our Lackford Lakes nature reserve.
Why is it not Mottled Grasshopper? The antennae look distinctly clubbed.
