Description:

Not really sure at all. Friendly but drab looking bird maybe imm/female Wheatear or Whinchat. Maybe slightly bigger than sparrow, had distinctive white flash on rump/tail. Kept flying a little further on.

Juvenile Wheatear

Definitely a juvenile Wheatear. Whinchat does not have the white rump (though the white. upper-tail sides are similar). Whinchats also have a clear white supercilium, above the eye, are smaller and more upright. Also, they tend to perch on a prominent grass stem, or fence, say, rather than on the ground.
