5 or 6 spots

Do the 5 and 6 spotted burnets often live and feed together? I took a number of photos today in the same place - same thistles. Some of the moths have 5 spots, some have 6.

Definitely

Yes...I have a couple of places, locally to me, where that is definitely the case. Where I am, the 5 spots are all Narrow-bordered, Z.lonicerae.

Thank you

ophrys - Thanks. I don't know anything about moths to be honest. It is the first time I have seen these red spotted day moths and they all looked so similar.
