Harlequin Ladybird maybe
Description:

A brownish ladybird seen on a stinging nettle with other ladybirds. When viewing the image I though it might be dead and had gone this brown colour. On further inspection in the garden there was another one, close to this one; so either both are dead or it is meant to be this colour.

Looks more like a ladybird

Looks more like a ladybird pupa or pupal case to me. Ladybird may have emerged already.

Thanks for your suggestion,

Thanks for your suggestion, if it has already emerged then it might be the one I posted just before this image.
