I found the crumb of bread sponge in and around rock pools at Gylly beach. The Bread crumb sponge lives on algae and rocks, especially close to the beach in shaded areas. Rhythmic beating of whiplike hairs (flagella) situated on the inner body wall draws water in through minute pores in the body surface.
