Description:

The caterpillar was feeding on Evening Primrose alththough there was plenty of Common Bird's Foot Trefoil about. I think the length of the bristles and the Habitat - sand dunes - indicate 6-spot; empty chrysalis case was close by. The two adults, photographed about 1Km away seem to have 5 and 6 spots; upper individual clearly has 6; lower one ? has 6 with two fused.
