Footprints found in soft ground at edge of pond. Does anyone know if this is a deer?

Not easy to be certain-but certainly possible.
size would help, sheep or goat(domestic}would seem to be only alternative Are they present in area?
Note the general shape of each 'toe' is wide and the hind point and pointed at the fore-tip which points inwards slightly.
