Comparison of OrangeTip Green viened white
Description:

I thought they looked quite similar in flight. That is until you see them close up and side by side. Mind you the females upper wings are very alike, so I have read they can sometimes be mistaken for one another.
"The male and female of the orange-tip species are very different in appearance. The more easily identifiable male has orange tips to the forewings, hence the butterfly name. These orange tips are absent in the female and the female is often mistaken for one of the other whites, especially the Green-veined White or Small White".

Intersting Comparison They coexist at the same time It feeds on the same plant as the Orange Tip but never competes for food because it only feeds on the leaves whereas the Orange Tip caterpillar feeds on the flowers and developing seed pods
