This bug was first observed under a low-hanging birch leaf on 15th June, 2011; it was monitored until today when the eggs were found abandoned. The two small white structures on the pronotum could well be Tachinid eggs (following Matt Smith’s comment on a previous post of mine on a Birch Shield Bug); they showed no sign of developing.
