Hi could anyone please tell me what this is. It and a few friends are on my potato plants in my garden.Think they my be Ticks be I Have never seen one this color?

Yes, a ladybird pupa - I

Yes, a ladybird pupa - I can't see any spines on the shed larval skin, so it's probably a 7-spot rather than a Harlequin, but a better photo would be needed to say for sure
