If you have any pictures of the basal leaves it helps with id,as leaves on stem are sometimes different to basal,also creeping has a furrowed stalk and meadow has not.They are hard to separate as flower's are very much alike.If you do have any just pop them on.

No its not a buttercup, neither meadow or creeping!

As I sujested

The flower could be mistaken for Buttercup,that is why I said that you need a photo of the whole plant as well as leaves ect plus habitat and measurements help ID.

It is of the buttercup family

It is of the buttercup family and is probably either lesser or greater spearwort, the bottom of the plant was under the water, someone who has seen the plant before will probably know straightaway
