Coenonympha pamphilus

Observed: 16th June 2011 By: dpt27dpt27’s reputation in Invertebratesdpt27’s reputation in Invertebratesdpt27’s reputation in Invertebrates
Coenonympha pamphilus
Description:

I first though this might be a Meadow brown, but felt the meadow brown looked more drab and lacking the bolder markings to the rear of the underside wing. I then looked at Large heath, but was not convinced. So I'm opting for Coenonympha pamphilus (Male) due to the stronger markings.
