Numerous on large piles of dung and rotting straw.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

I agree they are Inkcaps. Did you use a microscope to determine the species? Was it rooting? I can think of 3 species that resemble these specimens.

Checking inkcaps

Fair question - due to the similarity of several species, yes, spores checked and found to be correct. Also showed them to a friendly local mycologist to confirm.
