A trio of egytian geese visiting Carshalton ponds, Grove Park, Carshalton.
No interactions present.
An introduced species but getting a hold in places and breeding more often.
They can be very quarrelsome, and set up a right old din when disturbed.
They breed a lot along the Thames actually and use Kew Gardens as a safe haven. They tend to breed earlier than other birds/geese, sometimes as early as February.
I believe they were originally introduced in the 17th or 18th century and have spread to The Netherlands and Germany since.
