One of a group of eight or so on the beach just before the snow hit!

I look out for these birds everytime i am out with my camera, but no luck yet....
I've only ever seen them in Brittany in France. Plenty of them there though, and they can be really close by. They do what it says on the tin, turn stones!
Beautiful name in french: Tournepierre a collier.
Nice in winter plumage have a look for them later in the year to see their breeding plumage
Look out for them rummaging on fishing boats in docks.
A few years back ( I Haven't tried it recently) turnstones would come and take bit of chip from your fingers on the seafront at Sheringham, Norfolk.
