Shiny orange mushroom cluster growing on the side of a tree. Slightly sticky. Velvety stems.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Velvet Shank

Well done. At last somebody has shown the stalk as well as the cap. Look at the dark stalk and you will see the velvety texture. Velutipes means velvet foot.
