It's good to get such accurate measurements, however, it is a shame the shrew had died. It looks wet and scruffy, had it been raining? Many shrews die of hyperthermia in poor weather conditions.

Wet shrew

This shrew was found in the school grounds during a BioBlitz (24 hour wildlife survey) between heavy rain showers. Judging from the condition, it had been dead for a while (2 days??). They are amazingly small!!!
