It looks like a fish I caught off Whitby pier when I was about 10. I always wondered what it was.
I think the 'tentacle' you can see in the corner of the mouth distinguishes this fish from the very similar Bull Rout (Myoxocephalus scorpius).
Rob is correct, the white barbells at the corner of the mouth distinguishes the this from the bull rout or short spinned sea scorpion
