Description:

mink I'm almost sure. on Neath canal.Came down the bank opposite to me & started to cross till he saw me. the leaves are reflected from the bank

High out of the water

I think this is a mink because it is swimming high in the water and its head and tail arei almost completely above water. Otters tend to lie lower in the water, with little of the head visible, the neck below the water and just the middle of the back breaking the water line, if that. Great photo

Minke whale

Definately a mink for the reasons given and the fur is much too dark for an otter. Also note the white blaze on the chest.
