That's a lot of terrapins!

That's a lot of terrapins! The taxonomy of these is a little flexible. Most of my guide books and a recent taxonomic review recognise it as a species in its own right as Mauremys rivulata. Other sources consider it a sub-species of the Caspian terrapin Mauremys caspica rivulata
