Parakeets Hampstead Heath

There were thousands of people out walking on Hampstead Heath in London on New Years day and a whole crowd gathered beneath this tree looking at these birds

For some reason these are now called rose-ringed parakeets. Another species is also starting to appear now, the monk parakeet. This is very similar in flight to your bird although a bit smaller and paler. Monks have been cropping up in cities all over the world over the past few years.
