White fungus, snow/wave-like, found on a dead tree

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

I don't think this is

I don't think this is Coriolus versicolor, as it your specimen does not have the individual brackets sticking out that Coriolus versicolor does, unfortunately I am not sure what it actually is.

Thankyou miked. I had decided it was a Coriolus versicolor when I found a photo very like it on

I tried to edit my observation to not 'It might be this' but couldn't do it. It would be very interesting to find out what it actually is. Maybe someone else will comment?
