Viburnum leaf beetle

Viburnum has rather few insect species feeding on it, but this is the one I encounter most often, partly because it can make such a mess of the leaves that it is very noticeable.

Interesting. I saw this near the OU campus, but the same beetle (I imagine) attacks a viburnum in my garden every year (and is there now).
