In series of small pools (old sandpits) in conifer woodland. The area is very rich for aquatic inverts with several species of frogs and newts inc pool and marsh frogs. This specimen looked somewhat different to the 'marsh' frogs i've seen in UK. also did video of one that looked even more different, will upload it later.

Pool frog

I think it is safe to go with pool frog on this one, especially with the one in the video, markings even stronger.
