Squirrel vacuum cleaner

At least it's only eating the leftovers and not destroying the feeders!

It did actually destroy three

It did actually destroy three feeders in 24 hours as well! After those had been broken, it turned its attention to the leftovers! I love all animals though so wasn't really annoyed as the squirrel must have been hungry. I'm just putting food on the ground for a little while and then I'll buy some new feeders.

Feeders

I thought it was a very polite squirrel! Sorry for the feeders.

Re: Feeders

Ha ha! It wasn't very polite but it must have just been desperate for food. We're still finding bits of plastic which were chewed off in the attack on the feeders.

When I lived elsewhere, the squirrel that visited that garden used to carefully lift up the lid of the feeder, remove a few peanuts and then replace the lid afterwards! It didn't leave all the feeders undamaged though and broke some containing seeds. I remember that some cheeky magpies used to pull the squirrel's tail with their beaks but that didn't frighten it.
