I was wondering if this slightly blurred photo was enough for an ID? It looked as if it was freshly emerged out of the pond, and was yellow underneath, with grey/brown on top. the eyes were grey. Thanks in advance

Well, I can't see enough on it to identify it. Not because it's a poor photo, but because a damselfly this recently emerged hasn't yet developed it's distinctive colours. No doubt someone will be able to ID it though. You could always go back and see if there are any others to photograph.
There are, I think, some very faint stripes on its back, but it's very difficult to tell. The wings seem a little shorter than its abdomen, so it could be a blue tailed damselfly. But I wouldn't be hugely confident with that as an ID.
If it is any help, the wings were slightly shorter than the abdomen, and the abdomen was slightly arched towards the tip. I have no idea what features are useful for ID at this stage of development so hope this helps!
