Dryopithecus's picture

It looks like either S. putris or Oxyloma pfeifferi

This closely resembles the illustration of Succinea putris in Kerney, M.P. & Cameron, R.A.D, in the Collins Field Guide to the Land Snails of Britain & North-West Europe.

The authors describe the shell of S. putris as fragile and translucent (which this is), but they say something similar about the shell of O. pfeifferi.

Both species are variable and both favour fens & marshes.

Dry.
