An anthocoris type flower bug found in the kitchen today, a few weeks after checking some box (buxus) shoot tips for galls.
No interactions present.
Well, having looked long and hard at this one it could be a species from the Deraeocoris genus, and maybe D. lutescens a possibility. It is, of course, a Plant Bug from the Miridae family IMO.
Nights are for dreaming. Days are for making them happen!
I have checked in Southwood (perhaps that should have been the 1st port of call!) and agree that it is a Deraeocoris and that lutescens fits the bill to a large degree. Another one turned up after Christmas and this shows the dark triangles on the scutellum as in some of the British Bugs web site specimens.
