About 2 to 3 inches long. The insects were really on the underside of the rock hence the upside down appearance in the photo showing both.
No interactions present.

I think it may be a species of scorpian fly. I only think this because of the tail it has.

Definitely not a scorpion fly - they have full-sized wings and the head is extended to form a beak. I am sure it is the stick insect I have given in my identification - it is very distinctive,
