Big white fungi growing by lakes at Anton Lakes LNR.I know nothing about fungi, but i'm sure someone does
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
It might be the Destroying Angel, Amanita virosa. But this will be a difficult one to pin down without more info/photographs.
I added some more pics, but they are all pretty similar.Only just started taking pics of fungi so not much other detail to give, other then it was by a lake in litter debris by Alder/Willow trees, if that has any relivance,Sorry!
I suspect this is more likely to be an Agaricus species but best not to confuse the edible Agaricus sp with the deadly poisonous A. virosa!
Really you needed to see if it had a vulva (sac) at the base of the stem and the colour of the gills to say much more about the ID.
