Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

Or it could be Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor). It's very variable - but it's hard to tell from this picture.
Just magnify the photograph and you will see the top of each bracket, especially the lower group, is densely hairy so it is Stereum hirsutum. This is where photographs cause difficulty in identification. A photograph of the underside of a bracket would have made identification easier. Unfortunately other species of fungi need photographs of different features.
