I used to live very close to there many years ago beautiful spot,but rather blustery in winter

I keep meaning to find out -

why it has the name.
I read a book about pioneer aviators long ago, and recall a French aviator called Henri Mignon. He naturally called his design the Mignonette.
Sadly, he wasn't a brilliant designer, and the "Flying Flea" was, unfortunately, a lot more aerodynamically stable upside down. So if the pilot accidentally flipped it, he was doomed!
