Description:

The fly (St Mark's Fly) was knocked out of the hawthorn bush and came to rest in the net as shown. Looking initially like an interesting black and white fly, closer inspection showed it to be affected by a white fungus.

Identifications

Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
