Mystery fish at Stourhead in a shallow, still upper pond above the main lake. There were lots of little fish (some with red fins) but this one was on its own, resting on the bottom of the pond and attracting a lot of attention from the visitors as no-one knew what it was. We watched it for about 5 minutes and it didn't move position (it was alive as its fins moved slightly). Some people thought it might be a pike, others said sturgeon!! It was probably about 40cm-50cm long, and seemed quite narrow.
