5 lilac petals in clusters
Leaves pinate & feathery (fern like)
Height ~ 30cms.
May be a garden escapee

Becoming locally established

Becoming locally established and for some reason is more and more sown with 'wildflower' seed mixes.

Curious

I have seen it growing in fields, but didn't know what for - it appears it's used as 'gamecover' and to encourage insects for birds. It seems strange that many/most of the species advertised for UK 'cover' crops seem to be non-natives.
