It looks rather damaged presumably that isn't the normal wing-shape? (And presumably it is a butterfly not a moth?)

Speckled Woods -

are frequently seen in this sort of tattered state. I assume most of the time it is caused by birds pecking at them, but they are also quite aggressive (I know that sounds a bit daft, speaking of a butterfly), so maybe some of the damage is caused by in-flight fights?
