The sharp triangular shape shows this is a grey rather than a common seal. When I worked in Shetland this was a common sight as I walked the coastlines monitoring black guillemots. However, it was the common seals which were the really nosey ones. They would follow me, obviously watching what I was doing, for up to two miles or more.
