Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

To identify the genus Panaeolus split the cap vertically and see if the gills are mottled. Can you post a photograph of the gills as per the above?
Another possibility for these might be Psilocybe semilanceata.
I can see what you are getting at but am fairly sure they are not Psilocybe semilanceata although its some years since I have seen this species.
