Description:

... at least I think it's a spider, and of Pisaura mirabilis, my Chinery says, "Hunts in nettlebeds. Sunbathes on leaves with front 2 legs on each side extending forward and very close together".
Sounds like a perfect description and there are nettle beds here. Dare I suggest that's what this is? Yikes!
