Think this may be a Large red damselfly, but i believe a female common blue is also red?
No interactions present.
... apparently have a couple of colour forms, blue and dull green, but I don't think there's a red form.
Female Common Blues can also be brown or white (the white generally being when immature), they are never red.
The red(ish) female damselflies that you are thinking of may be immature female Blue-tailed Damselflies - these can be pink or reddish on the thorax.
