Grey seal

An excellent photo of a female grey seal. The straight 'Roman nose' shaped muzzle tells me it is a gfrey rather than the 'puppy dog' face of a common seal. The slight concave shape of the upper surface of the muzzle tells me it is a female, males have a prominant convex shape to the muzzle. If you check the search on iSpot there are other photos which indicate these differences.

Hi Araminta, if you haven't

Hi Araminta,

if you haven't already you should send your photo to Sue at the Cornwall seal group she uses photo ID to monitor the seals and I would think she could ID this one if it is in her database!
