Caterpillar / larva of 1033 Tortrix viridana (Green Oak Tortrix) collected from Oak (Quercus spp.) on 24th April 2011. Reared on oak.  Pupated by 29th April (pupa green, darkened to near black by 30th APril). Eclosed at some time between between 23:00 12th May and 17:30 13th May.  This image: pupa

Description:

Found on oak on the date given. Pupated by 29th April. Pupa turned black (or at least very dark) by 30th April. Eclosed on 13th May which confirms the ID. Pictures of pupal exuvia and imago added.

Dates

This was found on 24th April. Something odd has happened to the date on iSpot. I will leave it uncorrected for now as I report the error but will correct the entry in the fullness of time.
