London Plane Leaf

This leaf can be recognised as a Plane tree leaf because the petiole is swollen. The buds are hidden in the base of the leaf hence the swelling. The London Plane Platanus x hispanica has many large teeth at the side of each segment whereas one of its parents P.orientalis has few and the other parent P. occidentalis has no well-defined segments.
