Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

    Confidence: It's likely to be this, but I can't be certain.

De4caying birch

The dead log looks more like pine but I am not certain. The yellow blobs are Dacrymyces stillatus and if the log is pine I quess that the toadstool might be Gymnopilus penetrans. Are the stipe and gills of the latter almost the same colou as the cap?
