The Mediterranean counterpart of the herring gull. These photographs were taken at different times of the year. The first, of an adult, was taken in January. The second, of a juvenile, was taken in September. The mixed group was photographed in October. By far the commonest gull in Perdika - always about, sometimes (though rarely) over a hundred seen together.
