I'm not so sure you can be positive which of these two it is without at least knowing the wing size.
It's a little early for Small Rivulet here, I've only ever had a couple of them and much later in the year. The Small Rivulet has a slightly narrower white band and usually a double indentation, rather than a single one in the band. This moth was the size of the Common Marbled Carpet trapped with it so about 26mm, again indicating Rivulet.
